Book a call with Megan, Emily, or Paul to discuss your project and begin planning your build.
This option will connect you with the tools to go from ground zero to breaking ground.
Have you ever wanted to ask a builder technical questions about building? Here is your chance! Schedule a call with Paul to get straight answers about your build.
Have a barndominium builder review your plans before they’re finalized. Have your designer share your preliminary floor plan and elevations via email and get expert advice on room placement, design considerations, and how your build will be executed in the field.
We’ve created a 3 phase system to organize your experience and move you into the build process.
Think of this like swim lessons.
We evaluate where you are in knowledge and skill, and put you into the appropriate class (phase). From there you'll be prepared with all of the information to move into the next class safely.
PHASE 1
Dreaming of building but not sure where to start? This first phase will take you from the very beginning to knowing what type of build you want and what your design and financing options are. You will have a general understanding of the build-process + what is right for your family.
PHASE 2
This is an intensive planning phase focused on your specific build design and bringing your ideas to life. Our detailed questionnaire will go over everything you need to work with one of our preferred designers. At the end of this phase you will have completed build plans and be ready to gather estimates.
PHASE 3
You have your plans, now it’s time to build! This final phase will assist you in gathering estimates, finding a builder or other contractors, and by the end you’ll be ready to break ground!
In your 'Ask The Builder' call, you can expect to have your building science and technical knowledge questions answered by Paul Marshal. With thousands of working hours under his belt and over 100 barndominium-build YouTube videos to his credit, Paul is a rare resource in this field.
We ask that you specify the topics you would like to cover in the intake form at the time of booking.
Often in construction theres a disconnect between the person designing the plan, and the person building the structure. While draftsmen and architects are great at designing a beautiful space, without field experince they risk missing key items that can greatly impact your build.
For example: A customer purchased plans that checked all of their boxes, but when it came time to build, their 9' ceilings had to be lowered to accomodate HVAC ducting that wasnt factored into their plans.
Had the plans been audited prior to finalization, this error could have easily been caught and remieied.
